It Is Time For Revival

Did you know that during 1904-05 in Wales a great revival broke out? The revival was such a move of God that within the first 6 months 100,000 had come to the Lord. During that time this testimony from a mine manager was shared that I would like to share with you:

“The horses are terribly puzzled. A manager said to me, “The haulers are some of the very lowest. They have driven their horses by obscenity and kicks. Now they can hardly persuade the horses to start working, because there is no obscenity and no kicks.” The movement is characterized by the most remarkable confessions of sin, confessions that must be costly. I heard some of them, men rising who have been members of the church, and officers of the church, confessing hidden sin in their heart, impurity committed and condoned, and seeking prayer for its putting away. The whole movement is marvelously characterized by a confession of Jesus Christ, testimony to His power, to His goodness, to His beneficence, and testimony…” (The Story of the Welsh Revival by Arthur Goodrich ect.)

If ever we, as the church, as a town, as a country, as a people needed revival we most definitely need it now. What changes would we see if God did with us what He did with those Welsh miners! I know that it is somewhat late in the season for planning revivals but if it is the Lord’s will, then this is arriving to you just as it was intended to be. As we return to the States this fall we do so looking to see God do some great things. We are excited about the Pastors’ Retreat in KY, and the Leaders’ Training Conferences in Africa but we are also eager to see God bring revival where you are. As Ron shared earlier, two years ago there was a group of leaders who were considering whether or not reduce the number of days or to hold a revival at all that year. Concerns were shared that there was no money to pay a speaker, people would not want to attend. In short, they were feeling pretty discouraged. What I said to them that day I still believe even stronger today: “If God has given a message, a burning desire to share, then the messengers only care about giving the message. Nothing else will matter to them.”

Maybe you,  your church,  or town is also seeing the need for revival, desiring to see God move in a mighty way, but are also feeling discouraged, doubtful it will happen, or wondering if you have the money to give to a speaker to hold a revival. If so we want to hear from you! We do not ask for anything to come, other than a place to stay, if it is too far to drive from where we will be staying in Eaton,OH.  We would love the opportunity to come and work with you. If your church is also feeling the Lord’s leading for revival, and leading you to contact us please do not hesitate. Whether it be for a time of teaching others how to share their faith, going out to share the gospel, holding revival meetings, or all of the above we would love to be a part of it. Please give me a call soon at 937-307-0694 or send me an email at david@newdaycm.org so we can plan accordingly.

God Bless,
